Creating Feathers From Steel

We thought it might be time to let everyone even further behind the scenes, and show you some photos of Curtis James Miller’s building process.  The feathers are heated in a forge, then bent, textured with a grinder, hammered, and finally filed smooth (wouldn’t want any curious visitors to cut themselves on any sharp steel edges!).  Here are some images of the artist at work:
